Tajima is the most famous of all the Wagyu bloodlines originating from the Hyogo prefecture in Japan. They are smaller framed with slower growth rates and produce supreme meat-eating quality, with a large eye muscle and superior marbling.

Tajima has Australia’s leading Wagyu sires as its foundation. Dedicated producers hail from the east coast of Australia, raising prime cattle on the productive pastures of the New England region in the state of New South Wales, right down to the Gippsland in the state of Victoria. We work step by step with our farmers to ensure Wagyu genetics selected for the Tajima program are the peak of perfection and coupled with the finest Angus females.

Grown on local farms, our cattle are fed three different specialised rations. Wheat, barley and oats are the basis of the ration specially formulated by nutritionists that guarantees our animals are receiving optimal amounts of protein, energy, vitamins and minerals for their stage of growth and development.

Benchmarked for excellence, every time.

All carcasses are assessed and must pass the stringent requirements of the AUS-MEAT grading system. AUS-MEAT Chiller Assessment provides a grading for meat characteristics including meat colour, fat colour, eye muscle area, marbling, rib fat measurement, and maturity. This completely independent and audited system earmarks Tajima with consistency, honesty and integrity.

Halal and HACCP approved.

Tajima is produced under strict Halal guidelines, and in accordance with government approved Islamic organisations. Government issued Halal certificates are available upon request.

HACCP Certification is a global approval system which recognises a food business that has developed, documented and implemented food safety systems and procedures.
